Triathlon Schedules

The question “how should I begin my triathlon training?” should be the first question you ask yourself. Here are a few things you should think about during your decision making:

  • Are you a beginner?
  • Have you already done any of the disciplines in the triathlon?
  • What is your weakness?
  • Do you know how to swim?
  • Do you know how to bike?
  • What are you good at?
  • Are you just looking for more structured training?

All these questions and more should be taken into consideration. This kind of self-analysis will help you know where to start.

Your starting point should be to identify your goal. Without a goal, you will probably not succeed.

Establish both your short and long term goal. This way you will be able to identify the limits of your training. If you have no intentions of attempting an Ironman, then forget the idea of training twice a day, 6 days a week.

Triathlon Schedules

If you are a genuine beginner, you must start slowly and develop a base of training. To do otherwise will risk serious injury. It’s just not possible for you to go couch-to-triathlon in just a day. If you have been training for a few months and would like to enter triathlon, you can start a little harder.

Novice or not, one thing remains the same: you should have a goal to pursue. And this goal will lead you to the correct type of triathlon schedules to select.

Good luck!
